We invite you to attend, participate and spread the word of Tidelands Community Hospice events. Events range from educational, community events to fundraising. Tidelands Community Hospice Foundation is a not-for-profit 501© (3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. Because we are locally based and governed, donations go to work at once meeting the needs of those we serve and remain in the community.
Proceeds from fundraisers and charitable donations benefit our patients, families and all adults and children in the community who are grieving. As NO ONE in need of hospice care is turned away, charitable donations ensures care, beyond the traditional hospice role, is available to ALL. We AID patients and families with basic daily necessities, as well as certain supplies and situations that go beyond daily needs which are NOT covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance. Donations assist in filling in the “gaps” not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance. Though Bereavement Support and Volunteer services are required components of hospice care, they are also not covered. Our Bereavement Support Services are available to ALL adults and children who are grieving, not just our hospice families.
